Hollie's first picnic!

Waking up earlyish Saturdaymorning and seeing the sun out we decided to go for a picnic. We had a quick stop off at waitrose to get some food before heading to obelisk pond In Great Windsor park.
Hollie tried a few new foods on her first picnic, trying watermelon and a breadstick both going down very well.
The watermelon was definitely refreshing on this hot day!
Hollie was starting to feel sleepy after her new experience of food so in the pram she went while myself and James tools walk around the pond and enjoyed a ice cream too.

Life has gone far too quick pt 3

So slowly getting us upto date now..
Hollie Is a very active little girl, at around 5 months she started pushing herself around the room. Hollie gets herself into the crawling position but doesn't seem to be able to quite get it and just falls onto her front.
People keep telling me it won't be long till she is fully on the move, I'm quite excited for this but also sad where did my little tiny baby go?
Hollie sits up unaided but not for very long as she likes to be on the move and play with her toys.
Hollie is now on her cot beside our bed, she has been for a while now and we notice she sleeps a lot better now she has the room. Most nights Hollie goes down to bed at 7pm and can her little while to get in a comfy position before dropping off to sleep, we will give her a little bit of milk when we go up to bed and change her nappy she then doesn't wake till 6/7am. We are thinking of dropping the last feed once we have started weaning a bit more, she takes around 7oz each feed and has done for a while just won't take anymore even though I always put in 8oz.
We got Hollie weighed just last week and she weighs just over 14lbs.

No teeth have made an appearance yet but I'm sure I can feel one at the bottom and hopefully will cut through sooner rather than later.

I'm so proud of Hollie, she seems to thrive and surprises me each day. She is such a happy, cheeky little girl who gets frustrated when she can't do things a trait her mummy & daddy have too.
I love watching her grow up even if it does make me sad at how quick that seems to be going.

Hollie met her great Grandma at the weekend, unfortunately Nan has been in Hospital since Hollie was a week old after having a stroke. Nan moved into a home a few weeks ago so we took Hollie along to finally meet her.

We also celebrated Father's Day on Sunday and Hollie dressed for the occasion.

The last thing on my list of getting us up to date is that we will be moving in just over a months time as the landlords want to sell the property and we are not ready to buy yet, luckily we will be a stone throw away from where we are. At first we was sad as this would be the perfect house for Hollie to grow up in and she won't get to see the Nursery that we did up for her but now we are excited to move and see what the next chapter brings..

I hope I'm fully up to date and vow to write more often.

Life has gone far too quick Pt 2

We started giving Hollie some porridge in the mornings from 4 months old and she loved it.. Since then we have given her, Sweet Potato, butternut squash, carrots peas and Avocado oh and bit of toast that she loves even more.. I don't think we are ready to start weaning fully yet but we are getting closer to 6 months so will be trying a lot more soon. It's a minefield out there knowing what's best for baby, but it's all trial and error and you work with what best for baby.. I will be doing a mix of traditional feeding and Baby led weaning, I'm looking forward to her trying lots of new tastes and textures and look forward to lots of food mess!
In the next few weeks we will be looking at getting a highchair for Hollie, she currently sits In her bumbo.

I think she is tempted by a doughnut too,
Hollie had started to roll around about 3 and half months old, albeit it only rolling on to her front and getting stuck but she soon mastered it.

More outings and enjoying the weather:

Hollie attended her cousins superhero theme birthday party a few weeks ago..

The next day we went along to my stepsisters wedding it was such a lovely day and we all dressed up too!

Life has gone far too quick.. Pt1

So Today Hollie is nearly 6 months old!!

Time has flown much and I realised I have forgotten to write down life with Hollie. I started writing about our First family Holiday to Weymouth in April and didn't quite finish it. So this post is a massive catch up post and hopefully I can set a bit of time to each week to write about the every changing Hollie.

In April we went on our first family Holiday to little sea Weymouth, it was a lovely Haven site with a view of the sea.
We spent our 4 days visiting the local area and going into Weymouth it's self, walking along the beach and having an ice cream along with our cup of tea.
Hollie even went into the swimming pool for the very first time, at first she was unsure but once she got use to it she seemed to really enjoy it.
Hollie also had her first Easter, no chocolate was consumed for Hollie but she did get two little bunnies
We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back again in a few years time.
First time on the beach:

We have been on many outings and enjoyed going for walks.
enjoying some time In the garden:

We went along to Easthampstead Park where James had help organise Dubs At The Park, Auntie Suzi came along too. James and Hollie wore matching Junpers even though the weather tuned out so nice that they were not needed.
