2 sleeps to go...

1st January 2015...
I'm sure you have dropped some more, my pelvis is in bits this morning . I struggled to move around and get up, but looking towards the side of the bed where your Moses basket lays reminds me that it will all be worth it when you are there beside me.
Last night I kept over thinking things, what if I forget everything I've read or been told and then I got a big kick from you, it was like you were reassuring me "it's ok mummy we can do it together"
Today we are hoping to finally put up the changing unit that your daddy has been upcycling as its been sanded down and painted white, we are also going to be putting up your name bunting above the cot. Your room is so close to being finished, I can't wait to see you grow with the room and see the changes.

Another catch up post..

Hollie was weighed at 5+1 weighing 8lbs 2oz, her original birth weight was 6lbs 8oz so a good gain. Hollie lost 2% of her birth weight in the first week but gained it back again in a week.

Week 5 we noticed quite few changes with Hollie such as she was more aware of things around her, she was recogniseing mine and James's voices, Hollie has also started filling out the newborn/first size & up to 1 month clothing she has. Hollie seems to have her daddy's legs that are lovely and long.
Hollie had started smiling in week 4, but week 5 she has been smiling a lot specially when being spoken to. Also In week 4 we noticed Hollie was coo'ing a lot at night but this has developed more in week 5 and seems to be non stop once she starts.
And finally her feeds have gone up to 5oz   Every 3ish hours during the day and anywhere between 3/4 5 hours at night.
So it's safe to say Hollie had a very big leap in week 5.

We are now on Week 6, I have no idea where the time is going but it's going way too quick for my liking. As much as I love seeing her grow, seeing her developing and changing I already miss the First days, as they are days that go by so fast and in a blur. Savour them days is my advice. keep it just you and your little family soak it all up don't be in a hurry to do things, just sit and stare at your newborn if you can have as many cuddles with them as possible as they change & grow so quick.

Long over due post..

Hollie Marie Green arrived on Sunday 4th January 2015 at 19:57 weighing 6lb 8oz.. She is perfect in everyway!

Hollie arrived by c-section in the end, but I will do her Birth story In another post..
We stayed in Hospital for 3 nights (including the night of induction) and I couldn't wait to get home and finally be a family of 3.

The last 4 weeks have been a blur, while James was off work we spent our time adjusting, going out for walks and stoping for a cup of tea also spent pretty much just staring at our beautiful little girl. we also got Hollie registered so was made official.
We were sad to see James go back to work because that meant we had to go back to reality and I had to readjust to doing things on my own during the day, luckily it seems to be going well.

I'm trying to think how I've felt over the last 4 weeks and the only 3 feelings I can really describe is over whelmed, happy & tired! It's strange as she sleeps a lot but it's because it's not a routine at night and have no idea when she will wake it kind of knocks it out of you a little specially in the first few weeks.

I hope to update this a little bit more as the days go on and then get back into writing at least one post a week.
