9 months old..

I really can't believe you are 9 months old already, 3 more months and you will be a 1 year old! No longer a baby, even though you will always be our baby. As always it's a big of emotions as the months pass by, it's amazing to watch you Learn and grow into the beautiful baby girl that you are. It's also sad know that my baby will not be a baby much longer, I still remember all the newborn snuggles, the learning to roll over, learning to move then craw. You now live to stand up on your own and you are getting stronger and braver, you try taking a step before falling into your bottom. I'm sure it will be a matter of time before you succeed but In the meantime im going to enjoy where you are in your baby stage of life.

The past few weeks you haven't really been very well, your teeth have been troubling you (you have 6 now) you have had a cold and just the last few days or so have been running a temp of 38 and have a spotty rash all over your body. The doctors say it's virus and you have a very sore throat and was given amoxicillin.  It was your first real time having to go to the doctor.  You have been very sleepy and sleeping more than you normally do in the day.
Get well soon my little pickle.

As I mentioned you now have 6 teeth and doesn't mummy know, you love biting me and get upset when I tell you no hopefully this will pass soon.

You are still get more and more confident with standing unaided and standing for a few moments. You love holding our hands and walking around the living room, smiling away.

You are starting to say a couple of words such as baba and dada but only every now and then, you still find it funny when I say Mama to you. Also you have started to try and do hand actions to 'wind the bobbin up' it is so cute.

It's strange trying to write down everything you have learnt because somethings are so little but are such big things to us.

We did a phew photos the other day of you when we did your 9 month photo, you are just so adorable!

You love to pull a cheesy face, but will only do it if you want to. I can get the camera out and you absolutely refuse but when you do it cracks us up.
I think I'm going wrap it up here as I'm needing to give you your late night bottle.
Love you lots pickle xx

34 weeks old

Hollie is now 34 weeks old, this week brings Hollie's first cold. The first night/day wasn't very nice for her at all she just looked very sorry for herself at at one point her temp was 38 but after some calpol it came down, we discovered Hollie hates having her nose wiped. She wasn't really interested In her milk either but tried to get as much fluid in as possible. By day two it seems she is much better and is just left with a snotty nose!

Hollie is getting more and more confident at trying to stand up unsupported only last a few seconds before falling on to her bottom that she finds funny.
She still loves playing peek a boo and has started doing it herself with the blanket pulling it up and down. Row row your boat is still one of her favourite nursery songs.

Hollie is mostly always giggling at something it's one of the best sounds.

A little update..

We haven't really done much over the last weeks, it was the bank holiday and my birthday today. We have done a bit shopping the last few days, including a walker for Hollie and a trike for Christmas. We want to get as much as we can as soon as possible so we are not rushing around nearer the time. I love Christmas, so this year being Hollie's first is making me super excited!
We have also been thinking about Hollie's first Birthday, how we are thinking about this is beyond me but time has flown by this year.

Hollie is becoming super cheeky with a cheeky smile to go with it. She is trying to stand unaided but only manages a few seconds but she finds it hilarious falling down on to her bottom.

It looks like more of Hollie's teeth are going to come through but it's hard to tell when they will actually come through.

Hollie is sleeping through the night again and I would like to say I feel more human but I think I'm far from that.

Ducks, Hollie loves ducks so today we took a walk along the river in Windsor so Hollie could see them and she seemed to love them.

Aching Heart

Tonight I'm hating that you are in your own room, you are a little bit unsettled rolling one way or another kicking the cot sides and waving little roo around while your cot mobile is playing. I just want to grap you and hold you and have you fall asleep in my arms or on my chest like you use to. Before I put you back to bed after your night feed you tucked your little cold face into my neck and it was lovely I felt wanted and loved by you, it just felt comfortable and the amount of love I had for you in that moment is indescribable, as I was swaying with you in my arms.
I love you so much Hollie and each day that goes by I love you even more xxx

We have a 2nd tooth

Hollie's 2nd tooth has come through, it's the top right tooth. I was shocked to see it come through as I was sure the next tooth would be the other bottom one as that looks like it's ready to cut, has done for quite a while so I'm sure it will appear soon.
This tooth has caused a lot of distress specially at meals times, but either a little bit of teething gel or calpol has done the trick. It's horrible seeing her pain as I know there isn't too much I can do. She loves brushing her teeth it's so cute to see.

25 weeks old..

*Edited to say published late as it never posted*
Hollie is now 25 weeks old, so close to being half a year old. I've been dreading the 6 month mark, as I know a lot of changes happen around this time. we are currently starting our weaning Journey and also have planned for Hollie to go into her own room when we move, these things remind me my baby isn't a tiny baby anymore.
MONDAY:
Today Hollie has tried, red pepper, broccoli and mash for the first time..
For Breakfast Hollie had Porridge and Banana, lunch was toast and a bit of red pepper while dinner was mash, broccoli and carrot followed by a watermelon and strawberry Fruitsicle.
Hollie had a little play in the garden before it became too hot, looking the park in her sun hat!
We tried going in the paddling pool too but that was a bit of a fail and she didn't like it at all, I was hoping she would see it just like a bath but we will keep trying.

New home, New Room

So we have moved and finally settled into our new family home, about from a few boxes I think we are done.

Hollie you have been sleeping in your own room for over two weeks now, we have had a few bad nights with you being up at 2,4,5 & 6am but I think we have come through it now and you are sleeping through the night again like you did when you were in our room at the old house. I miss having you next to the bed terribly and can often lay awake a little longer than I probably should do watching the monitor, watching you move from one end of the cot to the other in your sleep and listening to all the cute sweet noises you make. How I wish I could just lay next to you and hold your hand as you sleep but I know it's for the best to continue having you in your own room as you are ready.

Talking about Noises you have started to babble a lot more and you are really trying to talk, you like to try and join in when I Sing 'if your Happy and you know it' you also trying joining in with clapping too but tend to blink instead. You are really learning how loud you can scream and seem very please with yourself that you continue as sweet as it its its not very kind on the ears.

You are as mad as a hatter, you have started to pull a really cheesy/cheeky face and love it when people laugh at you that you continue to do it. Peek a boo is one of your favourite games to play, you giggle away from the start knowing what's coming your laughter really is infectious too.

One thing we have had to do is get a stairgate as you learnt to climb the stairs within a few days of us moving in.

We have noticed you seem to be cutting your 2nd lower tooth and also your first upper tooth, we have had a few meltdowns because they have hurt you but nothing a little bit of calpol and hugs can't handle.

Your really are growing & changing so much weekly that sometimes it's hard to remember what new tricks you have learnt.

I keep coming back remembering things you haven't to do and 1 thing I'm shocked I forgot about is you give kisses, I love getting this kisses it's just amazing.

I love you with all my heart sweet baby girl of mine xxx
