Brighton Breeze

Sunday 2nd October.
We headed to Brighton to go to the VW Brighton Breeze meet up on the marina. The day wasn't looking so good with it pouring down with rain on the way. Once we arrived it looked like it had cleared up but soon started to pour down again and it did so for a few hours. Hollie kept pointing to the sea and I think if it had been warmer she would had loves to dip her feet.
We decided to hide out in the arcade on the pier, playing on the 2p machines and winning lots of tickets that we exchanged for bubbles and colouring book. We tried to win teddies from the grab machine but we both didn't do so well.
For lunch we headed to a fish and chip restaurant on the sea front with some of James's friends. The sun had come out during lunch so after we finally got a chance to look at all the vw's. We then headed back to the pier for a little while going into the arcade again and having doughnuts before walking around the pier and heading home. It was very windy  walking around the pier but Hollie loved it.

8 weeks

This week I turned 8 weeks pregnant, so far I've suffered with really bad nausea and dizziness. There have been lots of days where I've not been able to move much on the sofa, this proves difficult with a toddler. Luckily on weekends James has been great and helped out and allowed me to just rest.

On Monday I had my booking in appointment with the midwife where I had to answer lots of questions, have my bloods taken and do a urine sample. I remember doing all of this when I was pregnant with Hollie, it starts making it feel a little more real.
My symptoms of nausea have subsided a little this week but have been struggling with eating, I need to remember smaller meals is the key.

We will next have a scan around the 12 weeks mark where after we will announce that Hollie is going to be a BIG sister. Slightly scared to be doing it all again but will be so worth it I'm sure.

Brunch

We decided to head to South Hill Park on Sunday for some brunch. We all had a fry up breakfast but I think Hollie much preferred the Orange she was offered.
We walked around the grounds and fed the ducks before poping to the park just outside of the grounds.

Mummy's Birthday

1st Spetember 2016!
Today I turned 28, we didn't do anything too special toady. James was at work so we decided to go out for a meal after he finished work at Blues Smokehouse in Bracknell.
The food was lovely I went for the pulled pork, James had a brisket and Hollie had a Frankfurt sausage. Banana ice cream followed soon after.
Once home I was given my Birthday cake where I blew out the candles before Hollie went to bed.

Doing it all again..

So early this morning (5th September) I took a cheap pregnancy test, I was feeling really nervous and wasn't sure what the results would be. It was our second month TTC and with the first month my period being late and nothing coming of it I wasn't pining too much hope on a positive result.

So sat there on the edge of the bed shining the light on the test I suddenly see two lines quite shocked as I mention it to James. We decided to get a digital test to take the next morning.

On Tuesday Morning at 5am I took the digital test and waited the 3 minutes it suggests and took a look and there it came up with pregnant and moments later it came up with 2-3 weeks.

I'm writing this on Tuesday evening and I'm still feeling quite shocked but excited, I guess it feel slightly surreal at the moment. My EDD is the 14th May 2017 four days before our 4th Wedding  Anniversary.

I've got to ring the doctors surgery in the next few days to get an appointment for my booking in appointment, I'm sure that's when it will start feeling more real!

Birdworld

28th August 2016

We decided to head to Birdworld today and Grandad Green came along too. The weather wasn't looking fantastic but we was going to make the most of it.
As we arrived we went through the shop and there was so many soft toys and animals and Hollie was pointing at everything and even spotted Peppa Pig items, she was very lucky that her Gramdad got her a George teddy and 4 books before we left.

We first saw some parrots and ducks and Hollie helped James with feeding the ducks with dried meal worms. They even ate them out of James's hands.
We walked through a little bit where there was free flying birds I didn't like this bit one bit, funny enough I'm not a big fan of birds.
We saw lots of other birds and owls before watching the Penguins being fed. That was the time that it decided to pour it down so we had to find a bit of shelter till it stopped.
We decided to have lunch at the garden centre next door before heading to the farm part of Birdword.
Hollie loved seeing all the rabbits, ducks, pigs, goats, cows and sheep! She even got quite close to a chicken.
We couldn't leave with her going on the tractor and the park.
We was just about to get ice cream when it decided pour down again, so we decided to make our way back stopping to feed the ducks again. Hollie was treated to four new Peppa Pig Books and a George teddy off of Grandad.
We had a fantastic day topped with Pizza  for dinner!

I blame Peppa Pig

Today we decided after a bad night with Hollie (up for a few hours at midnight) we would make sure we burnt off some of that energy she had burning inside of her.
So we went to Dinton Parstures in Wokingham for a running around, making sure Hollie wore her wellies as its been raining. First we sat in the cafe and had lunch and Hollie had a cheese sandwich, some cheese pieces, yogurt, grapes and a few crisps. Myself and James had a fry up, yummy!
Waiting for Lunch.

After lunch we went along to go and visit the ducks and look for Puddles for Hollie  to go Jumping into. It didn't take too long to find a small puddle and Hollie loved it.
After seeing the ducks and playing in the park and myself going down the slide with Hollie we went to go home. Just leaving the park and Hollie spotted a big muddy puddle and wasted no time in jumping in. The pure joy on her face was worth it even though she did fall over into the puddle and is having to quickly walk to the car as it just started raining and had to get Hollie into clean dry clothes.
If you can't jump in muddy puddles when you are 19 months old when can you?
